Starting from scratch

For complete beginners, or anyone coming back to English after many years. A solid foundation, at your own pace, with no fear of making mistakes.

Getting past the intermediate plateau

For anyone who feels stuck. Lots of conversation, new vocabulary and practice to build fluency — and start seeing progress again.

A specific goal

Short programs for job interviews, travel, moving abroad, English for work or exam preparation.

What the lessons are like

A private lesson only makes sense if it’s designed for you.

1

A tailor-made plan

Before we start, I consider your level, goals, schedule, personality and interests. The plan is updated after every lesson.

2

Conversation comes first

Grammar and pronunciation matter, but the focus is on you speaking. Up-to-date international textbooks, plus videos and texts chosen around what interests you.

3

Online and flexible

Live video lessons, wherever you are. Life happens: occasional rescheduling without slowing down your progress.

About me

Hi, I’m Fabiana Dupont.

English has been part of my life since the cradle: I was born in Venezuela, grew up in Brazil and lived in the United States for 12 years, in Orlando and Chicago. I graduated in Translation and Interpreting from Alumni, have worked as a translator and English teacher for over 15 years, and was academic coordinator at Elfe Idiomas in São Paulo.

Along the way, I learned that the most valuable thing about a language is real communication. Verba et facta means “words and deeds” in Latin — and that’s what my lessons are about: turning what you learn into something you can actually use.

Learning with meaning and connection makes it all more effective. And a lot more fun.

Testimonials

What my students say

“After trying several English courses and feeling frustrated with all of them, I took a chance on Zoom lessons with Fabiana. I learned far more in three months than in years at a traditional school — not just the language, but also geography, history, art and cultures I didn’t know. I never liked studying English, and now I love it.”
Lucas Marques
Lawyer, Atibaia (translated from Portuguese)
“Fabiana has the perfect balance between good teaching and interesting classes. I always had difficulties learning a new language, and I realized that a good teacher is, above all, someone who knows how to motivate a student to keep learning. Fabiana has this skill.”
Victor Bernardo
Student
“After many years without studying English, your support is essential: you notice where I struggle and encourage me every lesson. At first I didn’t think I’d get used to online lessons, but I was wrong — they’re just as effective, and you’re always there to help.”
Cristiane Pinheiro
Student (translated from Portuguese)
